When I first unpacked this, I was dismayed by how fragile it looked. There was no installing to do, you just lift up on the top, poke the legs into place, and there it is. But it didn't look like it could take my weight and it looked as if it would collapse at any moment. Was I wrong! This is a very sturdy footrest and it is extremely comfortable. It is a perfect height for my feet under the desk and stays where you put it. The top cushion is solid but soft enough to keep your feet cozy. It isn't really adjustable because it has two settings -- as shipped (about 3-4 inches high) and extended. However, since the extended is perfect for me, I'm happy.
