These two albums are both of a high quality, but weren't massively successful at the time. Rainbows are back in style (a top 20 country hit) was the most successful single from either album, but both albums are packed with great songs.Among the other highlights are Just loving you (a UK top ten hit for Anita Harris), Walk through this world with me, You've still got a place in my heart (both covers of George Jones country hits), Unchained melody (Slim's version is superb), South of the border (he's good at those Western songs) and my favourite here, Love lanes Of yesterday, a cover of an Al Dexter song. These two 1968 albums are not Slim's most famous albums, but if you enjoy any of his other music, you'll surely enjoy this too.
