I would recommend the metal Style instead it seems much more sturdySeeing as my daughter’s first car wash was a success, her National Junior Honor Society wanted to host a second one. This time, they wanted to be more effective and bring two hoses. However, the car wash site at the school had one spout. I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to bring this hose splitter / divider to use for this event. The hose is designed for efficiency and productivity so it allows you to screw in this hose divider and then be able to plug in two hoses instead of one. Doubling your capabilities. The two-way hose valve is constructed of high impact plastic that can withstand strong pressure build up from the hose and the water spout. Since it is made of plastic, it is also rust resistant and will not contaminate the water with any dangerous chemicals. Since there is no rust to weather away at it, the two-way hose valve is very durable and heavy duty. On the hose connectors, there are two switches to control the water flow. You can open up the waterways to provide water to the hose or turn it to the sides to stop the flowing water. It is lightweight and compact. It is very small and portable in case you need to take it somewhere but do not feel the need to carry a large bag or box for it. At first, I was worried about the plastic leaking or the pressure breaking it, but the divider is built to hold up to these standards so the hose valve work fine. It served its purpose well at my daughter’s car wash and everyone liked it. As an add-on item, this was a great buy.I can use the valve to shoot a strong stream, a strong spray, a week spray, or shut it off. I use it to water my yard and plants.This is a quick shutoff when two garden hoses are connectedIt works like it's supposed to but the hole in the center is a lot smaller and when first turning it open it creates a powerful stream. I almost ruined my dads plants because of that. Also as you can see in the pic made in China. Hopefully it lasts. For the price you really can't complainGranted, it is plastic and if you are Thor or the Hulk and over-tighten it, it will break. But since I am neither, it works just fine for me. Make sure the rubber gasket is in place and just hand tighten. You won't have an issue. Mine is constantly in use and diverts water to a spray hose and a top mounted sprinkler system. Both have adequate pressure and works just fine. The key here is to not over tighten and to ensure the gaskets are in place.This item works exactly as I was expecting. I'm using it in conjunction with a drain & fill kit and a potable water hose as an aquarium water changer; this shutoff (at the aquarium end of the hose) allows me to switch from one aquarium to the other without having to go to the faucet to turn off the water.It might be a little difficult to operate if you have arthritis or other difficulties with your hands. But it shuts off perfectly, in about a quarter turn (ball valve).I can't yet speak to its longevity, but I bet it outlasts the faucet attachment.good
