I'm in total agreement with the first review. This singer was originally intended to front 80's disco group 'Change' before being pipped to the post by none other than Luther Vandross. Still he went on to sign for Warner and this debut album just oozes soul, Marc Sadane's fabulous voice (comparable to Luther, Freddie Jackson, Sherrick, Alexander O'Neal) and the dreamy female backing vocals complement each other perfectly, James Mtume production is superb. I wonder what could have been for Marc had Warner originally promoted this album back in the 80's..... Anyway... please, please, please ....pick this up while you can, as this Japan issue CD is a limited release mini LP (meaning the artwork is the exact replica of the original 1981 sleeve and music is 24 bit remastered from original tapes). Once again the Japanese lead the way in re-issuing quality, rare and wanted soul music from back in the day. This already pricey import will be exchanging hands for silly money in months to come. And don't expect wonderful package to be reissued again either. By the way the title track 'One way love afair' is a superb slice of midtempo modern soul.
