Good, simple, honest advice delivered clearly and concisely. Think of it as having a friend in the kitchen with you sharing their experiences and tips over a cuppa. The tone of voice is friendly and non judgemental (I have read books that had me feeling like I was committing my child to a lifetime of illness and obesity if I didn't follow their advice)! This book has worked for me because it fits my ethos around family meal times as a positive and fun experience, my goal has been eating the same meal as a family and this book has helped me achieve that.If you are a confident cook, or this is not your first time weaning, you may find the book lacks a wide variety of recipes, but this isn't about wowing your baby with your kitchen skills. It is about keeping the process simple and fun for you and baby and then your toddler, whilst not forgetting life can be hectic and sometimes we all need a treat. So if you are feeling nervous about weaning and unsure where to start or how to progress beyond purees this book is perfect.I would recommend this for first time Mums & Dads, or anyone who has to try a different weaning approach to one they have used before. To get the most out of the book purchase before you start weaning so you can use the ideas for all stages. I have no doubt this will continue to be a great kitchen companion and I'm looking forward to cooking with my little one.
