Disclaimer. I have a '17 Chrysler 300. I could not find a replacement switch to replace mine. Chrysler and everyone else wanted to sell me a full third brake light replacement with switch and camera as just the switch was not available. I wasn't having that as it was around $200!!! I bought this to test out. I had to drill out the hole on mine as the diameter of my original switch was smaller than this one that fits older models. I used a very large unibit to drill it out and did it in a cautious manor. The plug in was the exact same. It mounted in the back the same as well. Works great! Even if I had to adapt my new model vehicle to make this one fit. Totally worth saving A LOT of money!Worked great2011 Dodge Charger RTFor quite a while my trunk lid would randomly pop open and I could hear the trunk lock repeatedly unlatching whenever I was near enough for the passive entry to work. After some troubleshoot I determined it was the physical button on the trunk lid going crazy. This new revision of the button is rubber and fully sealed, while the original was hard plastic and unsealed. So I'm assuming the issue was due to moisture or dirt getting into it.Install was easy, part was cheap, and has been working flawlessly for 1 year +.Had an issue where my passive entry at my doors would not work from time to time, and trunk did not work at all. Took a chance and replaced this, and everything works again. The design is a little different than what came on my 2011 dodge charger, but better. So it should last longer.Stopped random trunk opening on charger. So glad i found this easy fix.Perfect Thanks!!The stock button was stuck due to water getting in and rusting it up. This one is rubberized and clearly won't have the same issue.Easy install and works perfect
