This was a cute book. The story was sweet and heart warming. I finished it with a smile on my face and a happy heart. That's my 5-star rating criteria!For a good portion of the book, I didn't like Cole. He was such a jerk with insisting that Tess set him up on dates. Even if she didn't like him, it was still incredibly selfish and insensitive.However, he managed to win me over. He's a lovable goof.Tess is a great character. She seemed a little lost at times but it added to her appeal. It was also stupid of her to do this bet, she knew that almost immediately. I felt sorry for her and wanted to give her a hug (LOL).I enjoyed seeing their romance unfold. I know that some reviewers get annoyed at the insta-love and it baffles me. What do they expect out of short novels? OFC it's insta-love! A good author makes it easier to suspend belief in these instances and this one did that.I suspect that the grandfather is a big softie on the inside and that more of that will be revealed as the series progresses.
