Came with all necessary parts. Had a locksmith install it. Would have to be pretty handy to do it yourself. This lock feels good and sturdy and works wonderfully on my exterior garage door allowing me easy access but peace of mind for security and keeps me from accidentally leaving it unlockedHad one for 15 years. My code sheet disappeared after pet sitter stay. I ordered the exact one. It has served well. Battery replacement is a little trickyI bought two of these and installed them myself with very little trouble (single woman not all that handy!). One of the doors was a brand new totally 'standard' door and the strikeplate that was included was not the right shape though I made it fit ok. I was just surprised that it did not fit out of the box. Not a big deal at all though. The hardest part was getting the right shape plate on it- you have to pry pretty hard and I worried I would damage it.I was really excited about not needing to dig out my key when I get home (my car does not require a key either) and that aspect is as nice as I had hoped. But I also like that it is perfectly convenient to leave the door locked at all times so you don't have to worry whether you forgot to lock it after coming in from checking the mail for example. And you do not have to worry that you will lock yourself out either. I struggled with whether to get the keypad on the deadbolt or the handle and ended up with this one because it seemed like you might need 2 hands to open the door if you get the keypad on the deadbolt. Their website makes it sound like that is safer for an exterior door though... not sure why. I added a double cylinder deadbolt too so suspect that is fine.I love the look of the curved handle but one of my doors is hard to open (unrelated to the handle/locks) and the shape of the handle makes it harder to open and close compared to a knob. Hopefully I can fix that separate problem but if your doors are tight it might be something to consider. ALSO... if you have out swing doors as I do (mandated by building code here in hurricane prone south Florida) these are not a good idea if you have dogs that may jump on the door (luckily mine does not) or toddlers who might reach the handle. If you do not have the door deadbolted and your dog or child pulls the handle down your out swing door will easily swing open with the weight of the kid/dog! I love this handle but am planning to buy the deadbolt version and replace these with normal handles for this reason. The satin nickel finish is beautiful and is consistent with other satin nickel things in my home. This item is carried by Home Depot and Lowe's if you want to see it before buying from Amazon.UPDATE: With both of my handles I have had issues where I enter the correct code and it is unlocked (I get the lights and beeps telling me it is) and I push the handle lever down and nothing happens. I would repeat the process several times before the handle would work (after jiggling and pushing on the door and other attempted adjustments). Then after a few months I realized that on the occasions it would not work by pushing down that it would work if you just pushed up (no need to re-enter the combination if done immediately). I would LOVE to hear if anyone else experiences this, if it is normal for this kind of handle and if not andy suggestions on fixing it. Again, this happens with both of the handles I have purchased and it is not a combination issue since pushing up will open it or a battery issue as it has persisted through a battery change. It occurs maybe once every 20 entries I would guess.UPDATE2: I called Schlage customer service and they are sending the part they think is responsible for this. Bigger problem- one of my locks on a seldom used door is always out of battery and they are sending a whole replacement lock. I mentioned the outswing door lever handle issue and they agreed to send the replacement for the broken one in a different model with a regular knob. This is 2 years after purchase and they asked for no receipts or anything. They are sending the replacement without requiring the broken one which would have left me w/o a handle obviously. DO NOT hesitate to call customer service, they will help you!Just this morning one of my dogs opened my door though so I am buying the deadbolt model now anyway! With standard precut holes I do not think they deadbolt can be installed with this handle so guess I will need a new handle too. Bummer- that is my fault, only mentioning it to save others with outswing doors!I ordered three (3) of these locks for my home 12/25/13 and for some reason they were NOT eligible for Amazon Prime AND the order wasn't "fulfilled" by Amazon; it was shipped from a different vendor at a price of $146+ each and took over a week to receive. That vendor did not include the 9 volt batteries, so that was an additional expense I had, bringing the total cost to over $150 per lock. In looking tonight at the matching deadbolt locks, I looked at this lock again (and yes, I'm looking at the exact same lock), it is NOW available as an Amazon Prime purchase 2 weeks later at a Much lower price & batteries are included. (I'll be calling Amazon to find out the reason for this in the morning!)All that being said, the locks are great quality according to my friend and my handyman & attractive to look at. I have separate gold colored deadbolt locks which I'll eventually replace with matching Schlage ones so everything matches. Easy installation and the codes all worked as stated. I live alone so will be changing all of the codes to the same # so I won't have to remember three different ones, lol.PS - these locks were suggested to me by a licensed home builder. I previously had Schlage locks installed - can't recall the model but they were also wrench/hammer & screwdriver resistant. However, as I had them all keyed to match & over the years lost some, I was down to 2 keys and they couldn't be copied (special type key). I liked the look of these keyless locks & my friend endorsing them sealed the deal for me. I'd have given this five stars if not for Amazon's change in Prime eligibility & price I had to pay.Happy for all of you that got the lower price & the Prime eligible purchase!EDIT: I just got off the phone with Amazon & they will NOT price match my cost!! The rep agreed with me that at the time of my order just over 2 weeks ago that it wasn't available as an Amazon Prime purchase & had to be ordered by them thru an outside vendor, but all they offered to do was email that vendor to see if they would price match, plus the cost of the batteries . I'm really quite ticked off at Amazon.com right now. It's not the vendor's fault & I highly doubt they'll agree to this. The rep did suggest sending them back to the vendor for a refund & reordering from Amazon, but this is impossible as I've had the locks installed and gave away old locks. I can't have 3 holes in my doors for however long that would take; what a joke! Guess I'm going to be out of about $50 and I hate to think this is the direction Amazon is headed in. I mean whoever heard of a store/retailer not price matching their own merchandise? Other stores don't tell you to go to their vendor to ask about it, if they offer price matching they do it in house. I don't feel Amazon is handling this correctly at all....2nd Edit: after seeing a question about the price difference between this lock & another Schlage lock for roughly $13.00 less I tried to find what the difference was. All I can see is the item # is spaced out (Schlage FE595 CAM 619 ACC Camelot Keypad Entry with Flex-Lock and Accent Levers, Satin Nickel) instead of being one continuous string of letters & numbers (Schlage FE595VCAM619ACC.) and the other one has no "V" in the item #. As far as I can figure out, the V means the box has a clear area so the lock is Visible- ridiculous! both locks have the flex lock feature, but the lower priced lock is available in MORE colors! If anyone else can tell me if I missed something else, please let me know. Descriptions & all other features appear to be the same....is Amazon hoping you'll see the higher priced one first???!!! Maybe this is how they're finally going to show a profit, LOL!!! Now I'm even madder than I was before....The only thing I didn’t like was that my old Schlage cylinder that I took out of my old lock wouldn’t fit in this one…I wanted it to be keyed the same as the deadbolt…I’ll either have to take the cylinder out and take it to a locksmith or buy a new cylinder to key them the same.Got the lock set for my Mother, who is dependant on home care. Saves having to hand out hand fulls of keys or leaving the house unlocked and vulnerable. Only draw back, we were unable to key alike with our other quickset locks, ended up getting an extra set of keys for the family. Lo recomiendo al 100 por ciento si uno quiere tener mayor seguridadle seul point négatif est qu'il faut la défaire pour changer la baterieFácil de instalar y de modificar los códigos de acceso
