Tom Zuba puts the actual emotional roller coaster, true feelings, experiences and bodily behaviors that one experiences on a mental, emotional and physical level into words like pure poetry. Recently purchased this, as it was recommended by a friend on a loss and grief board that I belonged to on FB, having recently lost my triplets. Our angels, Noah, Cadence and Carys entered our lives briefly on April 9, 2016 and left within minutes on the same day. My wife and I have been having a REALLY hard time with this. The loss of a child is so profound. I have buried my parents, at a young age, but the loss of a child rocks you to your inner core. We are taught and raised, IMO, in western society (USA), to grieve a certain way. These are the steps of grief, yadda, yadda, but Tom Zuba actually makes you do a lot of self-reflection so that you can heal and move forward and on, under your terms, for your peace. It is a refreshing way to deal with loss and grief. I used it as a workbook and ordered several other copies after the fact. I made my therapist and bereavement counselor aware of this book, and I have also given one as a gift to a beloved Aunt that recently lost her hubby of 53 years. Tom will also interact with you on FB. The other thing I LOVED about this book is that it is written like poetry. It's not overwhelming AT all for someone in the grief and mourning process. He also gives recommendations in his preface for other authors that helped him get where he is, additionally, some of those are free on Amazon's Kindle unlimited feature and app. I would buy and read anything this man publishes in the future.
