We saw them several years ago at G-Fest in Muskogee and were very impressed with their fiddle playing and harmonies! So I finally got around to ordering a CD that features “Every Which-a-Way.” Love it!Its hard to put into words the Talent & Performanceship these ladies from Cowtown posess. Their harmony is of A Kind that only "Family Togetherness Can Obtain". They Are very Decent Christian Fan Friendly Ladies & the best Performers I have Seen; New to the Circuit Since back In the 60s. Their Instrumentation on Their Fiddles is Phenominal and Combined with their 3 part harmony, puts them in a Class of their own. If you get a chance to see them in a live concert. Please by all means 'do not miss it'. Wife & I, Are Proud to Call them Our 'Friends'. They are now; combined with the Superior Talents of the Clark Sisters of East Texas & these 2 ladies. Penny & Katy are cut from the same Bolt as the Quebe Girls. Great""" This new Album, Produced by Mr. Joey McKenzie Of Texas is A Sure Fire Winner & Combines some Classic Standards & New Tunes also.. An Outstanding Class of Talent, as These ladies Posess, Comes along Only Once In A Life Time. And they Have It In Spades & Some More Too. Thank You. JLV North GeorgiaIf you're familiar with the Quebe Sisters Band then you too have probably been eagerly awaiting the release of their third album. Well the wait (which seemed pretty darn long) was worth it, as the album is simply amazing. Gathered here are many of their Western Swing favorites that up till now we've only been able to enjoy on amateur YouTube videos of their concerts. Beautiful versions of It's a Sin, Yearning, Cold, Cold Heart, How High the Moon, and best of all Every Which-a-Way. As expected with QSB the harmony singing and fiddle playing are top notch. But in addition the production values on this album are much improved, so now it's possible to pick out Hulda, Grace, and Sophia's individual fiddles and voices, and even to hear Joey Mckenzie's great guitar parts clearly in the mix. There are even a couple of instrumental fiddle tunes thrown in.I'm still disappointed that they didn't include their versions of Once a Day, All of Me, and Avalon. But if you like Western Swing, Texas fiddle music, or great harmony singing, then get this album. American music simply does not get any better than this.Wow, I love the Quebe Sister Band. I have seen them perform several times and they are just amazing! This is a five-piece band; the three sister playing fiddle (yes, fiddle) a stand-up bass, and an acoustic guitar played by their manager, who arranges their music. They do a lot of Bob Will tunes, but cover several genres. They do some Andrews Sisters in three-part harmony that will blow your socks off. And these girls are the complete opposite of the young women who perform today. They wear clothes that don't expose skin, but manage to look stylish and beautiful. Their personalities are as shining as their beautiful hair! This CD represents some of their very best work, but I would enjoy it if they made a couple more! Love them!In the spirit of full disclosure, I am a huge fan of the Quebe Sisters Band and try to hear them in person anytime they are near the Austin, Texas, including once a year at the Llano Opry Theater in Llano, Texas. That said it seems like I have been waiting for the release of their third album for years (at least two). But the wait sure has given us by far and away their best album. First and foremost, it contains what I believe to be their very best song 'It's a Sin to Tell a Lie', which they end all of their live performances with. Frankly, if you have either heard the Quebe Sisters or you enjoy Western Swing, great fiddle performance, or wonderful angelic harmonies -- you will absolutely love this album. Now that I have mine, I am purchasing some for friends.Vocal Perfection! This is simply a beautiful album. The sisters are up there with all previous great vocalists. The backing band of Joey McKenzie and Gavin Kelso are flawless, Joey is simply one of the best rhythm guitarists around. "Flatbush Waltz" and "Jesse Polka" are nice instrumentals on this predominantly vocal recording (oh boy what vocals!). The classic song "Wayfaring Stranger" is the keeper for me on this album, beautiful. The sisters brilliant vocals can sometimes overpower their talent on the violin. But their talent on that instrument cannot be ignored. My grade for this disc is A+++!Another great CD from the Quebe Sisters Band. The recording quality of this disc is distinctly better than the group's previous releases with better clarity and definition, and you can clearly hear the individual timbre of each fiddle. Very enjoyable to listen to.I love the CD and I'm delighted to have another QSB disc to listen to, but compared with the outstanding selection of material on Timeless, this CD almost has a B-side vibe, and I'm especially disappointed by the lack of more playful tunes such as the "Roly Poly" and "Across The Alley From The Alamo" cuts from the last CD.Looking forward to the next CD... love this group! This is a great album. The Quebe sisters are pure perfection with excellent vocal harmonies and musicianship. Every single tune is a joy to listen to, and the musicians backing them up are rock solid. It was a long time coming but the third album from the Quebe Sisters – Sophia, Grace and Hulda – was well worth the wait. Once again confirming their skills as fiddle players and vocalists, the girls (with equally fine guitar from Joey McKenzie) present a varied programme that’s defined by the album’s title. It is every which-a-way as the sisters move from pop standards like “Yearning” and “How High The Moon” through to country with Hank Thompson’s “Green Light” and Hank Williams’ “Cold, Cold Heart”, here given a dance presentation, as similarly with the Quebe’s interpretation of the bluegrass instrumental “Flatbush Waltz”. There’s even a traditional folk song, “Wayfaring stranger”, thrown into the mix.The sisters provide tight harmonies that only siblings can create (which might be a little too “twee” for the uninitiated listener) and my own regret that the album’s short playing time (just over 31 minutes) flies by far too fast. It wouldn’t have gone amiss to have 14 tracks, or more, in common with many releases these days. This is, quite simply, a fantastic album. Though the tracks are short, the quality of the recording production is superb and the musicians and world class fiddle players. The Sisters have now joined forces with 2 members of the Purple Hulls so the next album may be somewhat away from their roots. I must have played this one 40/50 times in 4 weeks and, obviously, strongly recommend it.Some superb harmonies and some old favourite songs given a makeover.LE QUEBE SISTERS OLTRE CHE DELLE ECCELLENTI STRUMENTISTE SONO ANCHE DELLE CANTANTI PAZZESCHE.
