One of the most under-rated Screw-ball comedies of all time! The cast is phenomenal and the gags are hilarious. True, the first few minutes drag and seem a bit ham-handed, but once the boxer meets the milkman, the movie soars. The dvd transfer quality is better than some versions, but not as good as the Harold Lloyd Box Set version. Lloyd was a master of comic timing, and his transition to talkies was stunning, although not well-received. He's delightful as the wimpy milkman-turned-fighter-turned-egotistical jerk-turned-loveable hero. Verree Teasdale plays the long-suffering, wise-cracking girlfriend of the always funny and well-dressed Adolphe Menjou (real-life husband and wife). Lionel Stander (Max from Hart to Hart) plays the big, dumb lunk Spider with such brilliance, he almost steals the show. Awful trivia: Menjou would later testify against Stander during the red scare era. Aside from the first few minutes, this is easily one of the funniest ensemble movies!
