Video compares the Galaxy to a city throughout. Excellent teaching model which enables viewers to grasp the different areas of the galaxy and why distinct. For example, explains that the earth is positioned half-way out from the center. If we were located father in, we would be bombarded with exploding stars, etc., etc., destroying us in no time.Another technique was showing the earth traveling to various sectors of the Milky Way. How would the sky look here? Why is the night so bright? Where do all these different colors come from?Great!Explains the uses of infrared, X-ray and others methods to see behind the clouds of dust and gas in space.Wonderfully done!Shows the Crab Nebula (beautiful) and what is behind it, and what it is doing. Connects the record of Chinese astronomy in 1054 of a new star, that was visible even in daylight. Now we observe as the Crab Nebula.Presents the process that result in heavy metals, silicon, sulfur, iron, gold, etc.. These are all framed from the death explosions of stars. These building blocks of our earth and our life, all are sent from supernovas.Wow!Highlights the ability of the Hubble space telescope. Can look so deeply into the universe it can see into the past! Can find images of the universe around 380,000 years after ‘our universe was created’ (In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth).Astounding!Around the last third of the video explains the recent understanding (assumption) of dark matter. Very well done. Clear, simple, persuasive and fascinating. Explains that the dark matter is really driving the arrangement and movement of the Milky Way.One percent of the universe is visible. What!Amazing. This video presents great visual images, colorful, vivid, striking, with clear explanations of what we are seeing.Includes excellent musical accompaniment. Violins, orchestral, created heartwarming connection. The blend of narrator (easily understood) and various scientists really aided understanding. My wife and I yearly return to this presentation.Enjoy it every time!
